Each gate must pass before the next, so problems are caught while they are still cheap to fix rather than after goods are packed.
What is AQL inspection?
AQL, the Acceptable Quality Limit, is a sampling standard used in final inspection: a set number of units is checked from the finished batch, and the lot passes only if defects stay within the agreed limit. ABD performs an AQL-based final random inspection on finished, packed goods before shipment approval.
What is a pre-production (PP) sample approval?
A pre-production sample is made before bulk production starts, using the approved materials and trims. ABD signs it off against the approved specification, trims and measurements, so bulk production begins against a confirmed reference that you and the factory have both agreed.
Do you inspect during production or only at the end?
During production. Inline inspection audits the sewing lines to catch construction issues early, and a mid-line inspection confirms the run stays within tolerance as volume scales. Incoming fabric is also checked for shade, GSM, width and defects before cutting, in addition to the final random inspection.
When is a shipment approved for release?
Shipment approval is the seventh and last gate. Final clearance is issued only when every earlier gate has passed: fabric, PP sample, inline, mid-line, final random and packing inspection. Shipment is released only after every gate passes, so the buyer receives goods that met the agreed process.
Will I receive inspection reports?
Our inspections are AQL-based and documented with photos for the buyer, so you can see what was checked and what was found. Packing inspection also verifies cartons, polybags, labelling and assortment against the packing list before shipment approval is issued.
