    Sewing lines audited during production to catch construction issues early.

    Mid-line Inspection

    Mid-run check to confirm the line stays within tolerance as volume scales.

Which certifications do ABD's partner factories hold?
BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative), SEDEX (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange), WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production), ISO, OEKO-TEX, GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), GRS (Global Recycled Standard), SA 8000:2014, Fairtrade, RCS (Recycled Claim Standard) and Recycled OEKO-TEX are held across our partner factories. What is a BSCI audit?
BSCI, the Business Social Compliance Initiative run by amfori, assesses working conditions in supplier factories against a code of conduct covering areas such as fair remuneration, working hours, health and safety, and no child or bonded labour. The audit result shows how closely a factory meets that code.
What are SEDEX and SMETA?
Sedex, the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange, is an online platform where suppliers share responsible-sourcing data with buyers. SMETA is the audit methodology commonly used with it, assessing labour standards and health and safety, with environment and business ethics in the four-pillar version. Factories can share audit results with customers.
What is WRAP certification?
WRAP, Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production, certifies that a sewn-products factory follows a set of social compliance principles covering areas such as forced labour, child labour, working hours, health and safety and environment, verified by independent audit. It is widely used for apparel factories.
What is the difference between GOTS, GRS and OEKO-TEX?
GOTS certifies organic fibre content plus environmental and social criteria through processing. GRS verifies recycled content and chain of custody. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 tests finished textiles for harmful substances. They answer different questions, so a programme may need one or several; all three are held across our partner factories.
What are SA 8000, Fairtrade and RCS?
SA 8000 is Social Accountability International's workplace standard covering child and forced labour, working hours, pay and health and safety. Fairtrade sets social, economic and environmental standards for producers and supply chains. RCS, the Recycled Claim Standard from Textile Exchange, verifies recycled content and tracks it through the supply chain.
How is factory certification different from ABD's quality control?
Certification shows a factory meets social, environmental or product-safety standards, but it does not check your specific order. ABD's seven-step QC does: fabric inspection, PP sample approval, inline, mid-line, final random and packing inspection, then shipment approval, so each order is verified against your specification.
Is ABD Sourcing a member of a trade association?
Yes. ABD Sourcing Bangladesh is a member of the Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA), BGBA ID 02257. The membership is listed with its official logo and a link to the association's website on the compliance page.
